A former flight attendant has accused Alaska Airlines of 'terminating' her contract with 'no discussion' after she posted a video showing her twerking on social media.

Nelle Diala worked as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines however, little 'over six months' after she started the role, she claims she was sacked from her 'dream job'.

The reason? Well, she claims it was because of a 'harmless clip' she shared on her 'personal social media account'.

In a post on GoFundMe, Diala explains she was using the money she was earning from her role as a flight attendant to help support her 'blossoming lingerie and dessert' businesses.

However, the six months wasn't without its difficulties, with Diala noting 'both of [her] English bulldogs died unexpectedly' and her 'relationship was rocky' as a result of spending so much time away. But she resolves she 'loved' her job and 'meeting new people, seeing the world, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for passengers' - ultimately 'proud' of what she did.

Alas, little over six months into the role, Diala explains 'during a layover' she uploaded a video of herself to her social media 'celebrating the end of probation and making it out of a hard upbringing in San Francisco, ca'.

She says: "I never thought a single moment would cost me everything."

The video shows Diala in the aisle of a plane, one leg up on a seat and shaking her nether regions, before dancing around in a circle and performing other dance movers, walking towards the camera before turning around again and giving a shake.

She explains: "The video went viral overnight, but instead of love and support, it brought unexpected scrutiny. Although it was a poor decision on my behalf I didn’t think it would cost me my dream job."

The former flight attendant alleges her employer 'accused [her] of violating their social media policy' and despite her explaining the 'video wasn't intended to harm or the company', they reportedly 'didn’t want to listen'.

Diala continues: "Without warning, they terminated me. No discussion, no chance to defend myself - and no chance for a thorough and proper investigation."

She argues the video didn't 'even mention the airline 'by name' and she's always 'careful' about what she shares, stating losing her job as being 'devastating'.

Diala has since started a GoFundMe 'to make ends meet due to this sudden loss of income and until [she's] able to find another flight attendant position elsewhere'.

She resolves: "I’ve learned from my mistakes and those don’t define me….We listen and we don’t judge. Thank you for reading my story. Any contribution or even a share means more to me than words can express."

At the time of writing, the GoFundMe has reached over $900.
