It turns out that even nude cruises have to draw the line somewhere.

An 11-day nude cruise is due to set sail from Miami, Florida to the Bahamas, riding the waves next February.

This endeavour is the result of a partnership between Bare Necessities and Norwegian Cruise Line.

In honour of the skin-bearing trip, the Norwegian Pearl will be renamed The Big Nude Boat Trip for the voyage.

On board the 968-foot vessel will be around 2,300 naked passengers.

Talking of the expedition, Bare Necessities wrote on its website: "As always, it’s our pleasure to provide you with the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear."

However, this does not mean that there are no rules in place.

Passengers are expected to dress up when disembarking the boat, which stops in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and St Maarten.

Even while out at sea, there are occasions when some clothes will be mandatory.

Namely whilst inside the dining rooms.

However, if you fancy your buffet in the buff, there's an outdoor eating alternative.

Passengers are also required to lay down a towel before sitting naked in the stateroom, pool deck and buffet area.

Inappropriate touching and fondling are also strictly prohibited.

With prices starting at around $2,000, with a deluxe three-bedroom villa costing even more at an eye watering $33,000.

Bare Necessities has already taken to the seas on 75 nude cruises in the past.

One passenger took to Reddit to divulge about his experience.

The 67-year-old admitted: "Cruises seem to be for people who like to eat and lie around, so there were a lot of large people.

"Also, most people don’t seem to be comfortable being nude in public until later in life so the crowd was older. I’d say 20% attractive, 20% average, 60% unattractive."

This isn't the first time that somebody has opened up about their experiences on a nude cruise.

Kat Whitmire, a cruise organiser for Bare Necessities, opened up in an interview with Business Insider.

She said: "To us, being nude is not sexual or anything to be ashamed of.

"Nudism is about leaving judgment behind. When you're not wearing clothes, you can't immediately tell someone's economic status or how they vote; you have to talk to them to find out who they are.

"Our guests form deep friendships that I don't think form as readily on a textile cruise.

"We're not a swingers' cruise. This is not lifestyle travel. There are plenty of those travel opportunities out there, but that's not what we do."
