While most of us will have only visited a handful of countries by the age of 28, this intrepid explorer had visited every country in the world.

Of the vast amount of countries he's been to, Henrik Jeppesen (who hails from Thy in northwest Jutland, Denmark) has been to an impressive 2,000 destinations.

It took him around 3,000 days in total - and what's more impressive is that he says he only spent $60,000 to $80,000 on the epic trip, averaging out around $20 to $25 a day.

Sponsorship from airlines and free hotel stays after his travel blog took off may have helped just a little bit.

Last month, Henrik revealed what his favorite city in Europe is, that being the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.

"It's very much overlooked for people coming to Europe, and many people who have traveled have never been there," the keen traveler told The Mirror, adding: "Even if they've been to Europe two or three times, they usually go to London, Rome, Paris and Berlin, those kinds of places, so in that sense I think it's highly underrated."

As to why he loves Tallinn so much, Henrik explained: "First and foremost, it's a lot cheaper than the cities I mentioned; in comparison, it's fantastic value. Then you have the Old Town, which I think is the best old town in the entire world, and I've travelled a lot.

"You can step out the door, and it's like you're stepping into a new world with well-preserved old buildings and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else I've been."

Circling back to the city being well priced, Henrik said he bought lunch for a very reasonable €5 (just short of six bucks) at Rataskaevu 16 times on his trip.

While Tallinn might be his favorite city in Europe, you might be keen to know what his favorite city in the world is...

The answer to that is Cape Town in South Africa.

Henrik penned on his website: "My favorite city in the world is Cape Town, and my favorite region is the Western Cape.

"I have also experienced three great train journeys, The Blue Train, Rovos Rail and the Shongololo Express, which were all very impressive."

He continued: "I have experienced extraordinary safari experiences in Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands, Madikwe, and Welgevoden and had some of the most exciting road trips in [South Africa]."

Henrik went on to say that Cape Town is the home of one of his favorite restaurants in the world, that being The Test Kitchen.

Others reviews back Henrik's high acclaim with the eatery boasts 4.6/5 on Tripadvisor.

Someone else who is extremely well traveled is Karl Bushby, who has been traveling across the globe without any mode of transport for nearly three decades.

He says his favorite places that he's visited over the last 27 years are Colombia, Chile and Mexico.
