People on the internet have been left mind blown by the hidden meaning in both Disney World and Disneyland's names.
There are a whopping 12 Disney theme parks across the world, across six different resorts.
All the fun and the magic thrills Disney can provide can be found in California, Florida, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, and Shanghai, with Disneyland, found in Anaheim, California, the oldest park opening in 1955.

Walt Disney World Resort, in Florida, opened in 1971 - featuring six theme parks and water parks, a sports complex, golf courses and the shopping complex Disney Springs.
While they may be both in the US, many have questioned over the years why the California park is known as Disneyland, while the Florida resort is dubbed Disney World.

Well, a viral Reddit thread may have just uncovered this, after a screenshot from an NBC broadcast was posted to the popular social forum.
The TV channel has the two resort names side-by-side with the letter 'LA' highlighted on Disneyland and 'ORL' receiving the red marker treatment on Disney World.
Many on the forum are suggesting the 'LA' could mean Los Angeles, while 'ORL' refers to Orlando, where Disney World is found.

Some in the comments section of the Reddit post joked about the likes of Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort making it less of a mission to work out where they are based from the name.
So, now we've worked out the hidden meaning behind Disney World and Disneyland's names, what are the main differences between the resorts?
First of all, Disney World is a lot bigger than Disneyland as it spans a massive 27,000 acres across five main theme parks and two water parks.
On top of that, you've got Disney Springs and over 25 resort hotels within the Disney World Florida resort.

As for Disneyland, its two parks, Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park, cover 500 acres - meaning you can fit 54 Disneyland parks in Disney World.
The castle at Disney parks is surely one of the most important - so which one is bigger; Disneyland's or Disney World's.
Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland stands at 77 feet and is the oldest castle to be found within any Disney park across the globe.
