Flight attendant reveals the five things you should ‘never do on an airplane’

A flight attendant has revealed the top five things you should 'NEVER' do onboard a flight and you've probably done at least one of them

There are 'five things' you shouldn't do on a plane according to a flight attendant.

Everyone should know basic etiquette like not rustling your popcorn or slurping your drink at the cinema or singing along at a musical - unfortunately, we've all still experienced social gremlins continuing to prove otherwise - but there are some lesser known tips when it comes to hopping on a plane.

Thankfully, flight attendant Tommy Cimato has since revealed the top no no's you should make sure to never do next time you're taking a trip in the air.

Tommy - who goes by @tommycimato - took to TikTok to reveal the top 'five things' that he believes 'you should never do on an airplane'.

First up is not 'ever' touching the flush button or level in the plane's toilet with your 'bare hands'.

Why? Well, Tommy explains: "It's honestly just super unsanitary and it's pretty gross. So when you flush, use a napkin or tissue that's in the lavatory."

Next up is not forgetting to drink water.

"Stay hydrated," he continues. "You want to have about 16 ounces for every flight that you go on. Keep that in mind."

The second point certainly makes sense, but Tommy's third warning is a bit more alarming as it's more than likely most of us have done it.

The flight attendant warns to not 'sleep or lean on the window'.

"You're not the only one who's done that and you don't know how many people or children have wiped their hands or other things all over the window," he says.

The second to last no no is to not wear shorts onboard a plane because 'you never know how clean it's going to be' and so wearing longer pants reduces the risk of coming into close contact with germs.

The fifth and final warning sees Tommy urge passengers to not be 'afraid' to let an attendant know if they're 'feeling sick'.

"We are there to help, so if you need food, water or an air sickness bag, please let us know," he adds.

And it's not taken long for people to flood to the post to weigh in.

One TikTok user said: "This proves that you guys dont clean inside the plane."

"Don't they sanitize after every flight?" another echoed.

To which Tommy responded: "The ground crew does all the plane cleaning, they try their best to keep it clean but this is just in case if it gets missed!"

A third wrote: "I'm gonna wash my hands after I flush anyway."

"I use my foot to flush seriously," a fourth added.

A fifth said: "I do not like to even rest my head on the head rest."

And a final resolved: "JUST CLEAN THE DAMN AIRPLANE."
