A nude cruise passenger has revealed what life is really like on board naked boats.
If you'd recently stumbled upon stories about a 2,000-person nude cruise run by a company called Bare Necessities and fallen deep into the rabbit hole during a late night scrolling session but now want to know even more, then fear not.
A nude cruise passenger has revealed everything you 'need to know' about hopping aboard such a boat so that you know what you're signing up for if you ever take the plunge.
Bare Bones Fossil went on a 14-day trip 'nacation' on board the Carnival Pride in 2023.

In a video posted to YouTube, he explains you don't actually strip off before you board the cruise, but after you've walked onto it.
Once the boat is an appropriate distance from unassuming eyes, an announcement rings through the ship to alert passengers that clothing is now 'optional'.
He says: "I mean that announcement had not even died down yet and then clothes, shirts and bras and pants and shorts and things were flying off and people were out there in all their glory warming themselves in the Florida sun."
However, it wasn't just enthusiastic nudists on board the ship.

Types of passengers
The YouTuber explains there were also 'some swingers thrown in' to the mix.
"But with that said, I never saw any instance of any kind of harassment or sexual misbehavior, encroachment, anything like that," he reassures.

And the average age of those on board might surprise you too, Bare Bones Fossil revealing the age range averaged on the 'high side of the 60s' although 'all ages were represented there'.
And the 'majority of people on board were probably retirees', the YouTuber adds, although noting there was a whole plethora of people with different careers, such as 'scientists, doctors, engineers, blue collar workers, college professors, teachers'.
The naked cruise attracted people from all over the world too, with Australians, Americans and Germans to name a few.

He says: "The international barriers dropped so we can all bare all."
Unsurprisingly however, there were no children allowed on the nude cruise, Bare Bones Fossil joking groups of younger people in the group would 'cling together'.
"I think probably the truth of the matter was they look out and saw what the ravages of gravity and time can do to a body," he jokes.
Rules
Some areas of the ship were 'no camera zones' to respect some passengers not wanting to have pictures with them naked in the background, but the rest of the cruise was 'the same' as any other with a theatre, daily entertainment, crafts, trivia, karaoke, pools, multiple dining halls and all sorts.

Oh, but there were additional activities such as nude astronomy, of course.
There were a few areas you were required to wear clothes on the cruise and not just when coming into a port, such as in the dining room areas and the speciality restaurants, however, the YouTuber notes 'a pretty large minority' decided to 'bare it all' while they were 'grubbing' for food anyway.
However, it's one thing sitting in a warm seat in the office, but it would be another to sit your naked bum down where another has been, so you were expected to sit on a towel in most areas, with the YouTuber adding they were 'pretty much universally used'.
Bare Bones Fossil resolves: "It seemed to be a pretty much universal no judgement zone. I never felt like I was being gawked at or made fun of and just had a really, really good time."
So, how 'bout it?
