A London court heard how US President Donald Trump's youngest son Barron dialled 999 after seeing a woman being attacked while on a FaceTime call.

On January 18, 2025, a woman - who has not been named for legal reasons - was 'beaten up' by a man in the early hours of the morning.

The woman was attacked while on video call with Barron Trump, and the youngest of the US President's children is reported as having immediately rung 999 from the States, alerting the City of London Police to the incident.

Jurors present at Snaresbook crown court in East London were played Barron's 999 call, according to the Mirror.

The 19-year-old is reported as having told the operator: "It's really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up."

However, friction developed between Barron and the call handler. It's reported the emergency operator told Barron off for being 'rude' and instructed him to 'actually answer' their 'questions'.

Barron's 999 call

"If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely," they said.

Barron then shared he 'met' the woman online and said she was 'getting really badly beat up'.

He detailed the call as occurring 'about eight minutes' prior to him calling 999, before adding: "So sorry for being rude."

Barron later told police: "She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something. I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit."

The call is reported as having lasted around 10 to 15 seconds before disconnecting, prompting Barron to call 999, as per The Independent. The youngest of Trump's brood reportedly added to police he didn't call back 'and threaten things' to the woman's attacker 'because that would just make the situation worse'.

Officers were dispatched to the address and the woman was questioned, with the Daily Mail reporting she told officials she was 'friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump's son'.

A man named Matvei Rumiantsev is now on trial, accused of assault, actual bodily harm, perverting the course of justice and two counts of rape.

The alleged attacker

Rumiantsev is a Russian former MMA fighter. During the woman's call to Barron, it's alleged Rumiantsev called her a 'slut,' 'whore,' and told her: "You are not worth anything."

It's reported he also allegedly grabbed her hair, pushed her to the floor and kicked her in the stomach.

Sasha Wass KC, his defence attorney, branded the woman's allegations as 'untrue and fabricated,' claiming it was the woman who became 'angry and violent' and Rumiantsev had just been trying to restrain her, as quoted by Metro.

However, in court, the woman stated she 'didn't invent that,' reflecting on it being 'completely evil and disgraceful toward people who have been in that situation' if she had.

She also said of Barron: "He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment."

The trial remains ongoing.
