An 11-year-old girl has been left orphaned following a horrific crash which killed four members of her family as well as a motorcyclist and pillion passenger.

West Yorkshire Police are yet to name the man and woman who were on the motorcycle who also died in the ordeal.

The orphaned girl has been named as Poppie and a GoFundMe page has been created to help her get through the unimaginable ordeal.

At the time of writing the page has raised a staggering £233,559 ($301,612) in just a matter of days.

Part of the page's bio reads: "We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help. On 21st July 2024, a tragic car accident took the lives of Poppie's entire family—her loving mum, dad, and two little sisters. At just 11 years old, Poppie has lost her whole world in an instant."

It goes on to describe Poppie as 'a bright and resilient young girl, known for her infectious smile and kind heart'.

With her 'uncertain future' in mind, it's hoped that the money raised will help with things like living expenses, education, counselling and Poppie's future care.

Following the devastating events that unfolded on Sunday, police in England are now appealing for people to come forward with dashcam footage of the incident and to call 101 if they do.

People far and wide have expressed their condolences to all those involved in the fatal collision.
