Footage shared to Twitter shows people queuing to donate blood in Kharkiv, amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
News of the donations come following Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky's TV address earlier today, February 24.
The Ukrainian president reportedly urged people to donate blood, saying 'we need help from everybody'.
Footage of the queue to the blood bank was shared to Twitter, with the caption, 'Huge queues at blood bank in Kharkiv. Dr says last time he saw this scale of blood donation was during 2014 conflict in Donbas.'

The footage follows a statement in which president Zelensky said Ukraine has suffered 'serious losses' in the attacks and asked for blood donations.
Zelensky also said, 'Those that have some conscience, they should stand against the war against Ukraine', the Express reports.
The president urged people to come forward to help, saying, 'Everyone who has military experience who can join the defence of Ukraine has to come to the military offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.'
Russian troops are said to have shelled airports and military stations in Kyiv following the invasion this morning, February 24.

'Our mission is clear: diplomatically, politically, economically and, eventually, militarily, this hideous and barbaric venture of Putin must end in failure,' Johnson said.
Johnson's statement comes after Russian president Vladimir Putin warned other countries against 'the temptation of meddling in the ongoing events', the Financial Times reports.
Putin added, 'All responsibility for the possible bloodshed will be fully and completely on the conscience of the ruling regime.'
