Ukraine's official Twitter account has 'invited a roasting session' amid Russia's calamitous, 'full-scale' invasion.
President Vladimir Putin announced the 'special military operation' this morning, February 24. Confirming the fears of world leaders after he deployed 'peacekeeping' troops to rebel-held, so-called republics, it's amounted to a declaration of war.
Many lives have already been lost as a result of the ensuing warfare, with Ukraine claiming to have lost at least 40 troops and several civilian casualties. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged those willing and able to assist with the country's defenses, but many have been trying to flee Kyiv before the situation escalates even further, with shelling rocking the capital and other cities.
Ukrainian figures and other world leaders have been condemning Russia's actions since Putin's address. While social media is awash with footage, photos, news reports and even memes regarding the conflict in the east, Ukraine's official Twitter account has made its own contribution to the discourse.

'Tag @Russia and tell them what you think about them,' it wrote. It's already racked up nearly 12,000 retweets and more than 3,000 replies from an assortment of accounts, including the Auschwitz Memorial, everyday users comparing Putin to Adolf Hitler and others clearly a bit confused at the tweet, given the chaos in Ukraine.
'As we stand at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, it is impossible to remain silent while, once again, innocent people are being killed purely because of insane, pseudo-imperial megalomania,' the memorial wrote in its statement.
One user tagged Russia's official account and wrote, 'Pls I beg you to end the war.' Another asked, 'Is this really your biggest priority right now?', to which another pointed out, 'What else can they do?' They then replied, 'I don't know, anything else but send memes and mock Russian's online? Like perhaps sharing more footage, sharing videos of the Ukrainian army, downed Russian army vehicles, soldiers anything but memes?'
Some have suggested it may not be wise to post memes mocking Russia while actual conflict is gripping the country, but others don't see what the problem is, given the account's manager is raising awareness.

It should also be noted that the account has posted links to donate to the Ukrainian army. 'Russia has started the new wave of aggression against Ukraine. Wherever you are, whatever you do, you can help Ukraine now. You can help Ukraine against Russian aggression,' it wrote earlier today.
