A couple have been evicted after claiming their own son transferred away the home they lived in for 20 years.
Ismael and Angelita Ramirez, a husband and wife from California, were making payments on and living in their family home in Fresno for two whole decades. That was before they were handed an eviction notice after their son transferred ownership of the property to someone else behind their backs.
The notice, which was delivered back in April, came as a complete 'surprise' to the couple who have been left severely impacted from the tragic ordeal.

A FOX26 news reporter asked the pair: "When you received the notice by surprise... all of a sudden, what did you think at the moment?"
Ismael replied: "We thought, why did our boy do that us if he knew the house was ours?"
Back in 2003, he explained, the family were in the process of purchasing the property when their son reportedly didn't include their names on the title.

Even though the parents pushed to be included, their son simply assured them it was nothing to worry over.
Until now.
"He told us, they told him, it wasn't necessary. And well, since we don't know English, that's where they lied to us," Ismael revealed.
He told the outlet he and his wife were forking out '$700 a month' before adding: "We thought, why did our boy do that to us if he knew the house was ours?"

They later learned that their son had transferred the property to a woman who served the notice and have since sought legal help in the matter.
But, because the property was legally in their son's name - lawyers are allegedly refusing to assist with the case.
"They left us with nothing," Ismael says, "At the moment, we felt the world was collapsing on top of us. Especially since I can't really walk, and my wife gets depressed and suffers from high blood pressure over the whole situation."

As they process the fact they are homeless because of their own child, the couple are currently staying with their daughter.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has since been set up by the pair's other children by to help the couple financially recover from the situation with an end goal of $45,000.
Fabian Ramirez, organizer of the GoFundMe, wrote on the page: "My parents don’t deserve this pain that has been inflicted on them and it hurts us as a family."
At the time of writing, the crowdfunding effort has since amassed more than $30,800 with 452 generous people donating to the cause.
