A Connecticut mansion went up in flames on Thanksgiving after residents attempted to fry a turkey in the garage.
While Thanksgiving is meant to be a day of celebration and being grateful for what you have in life, you certainly have to be cautious when it comes to cooking the turkey.
And shocking images of a mansion in a ball of flames is a prime example of what can happen when you are a little careless.

Firefighters were alerted to the Weston home being on fire shortly after 3:40pm on Thursday (November 28) by an automatic fire alarm on Weston Road, an affluent area of town.
"Upon arrival, fire personnel located a well involved garage fire that was rapidly extending into the residence," a Facebook post by the Weston Volunteer Fire Department explained.
"Firefighters attempted an aggressive fire attack however their efforts were thwarted by dangerous fire conditions and structural collapse.

"In addition, a vehicle drove over the water supply hose on Weston Road, damaging the line, which completely stopped the flow of water for several minutes."
In total, firefighters were on the scene for a whopping 16 hours battling the blaze, as immense heat prohibited them getting too close to the fire.
Firefighters believe the fire started as a result of residents frying their Thanksgiving turkey in the garage, though no official cause has been revealed as of yet.
Weston Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Pokorny told CT Insider: "When we arrived, the whole garage end of the house was on fire – like a third of the house.

"It accelerated really rapidly. We had great water supply. Really, the issue was the fire had progressed so much by the time we arrived on scene."
CT Insider reports 25 people were in the mansion enjoying the Thanksgiving festivities, all of which got out of the building safely.
However, officials say the mansion has since been ruled as uninhabitable.

As per photos obtained by Weston Today, it's just the exterior deck of the mansion that remains identifiable - providing huge devastation to the property's owner.
Weston First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor said in a statement: "I would like to thank all the Weston volunteer firefighters, Weston volunteer EMS, WPD, as well as the mutual aid fire departments from Westport, Easton, Wilton, Ridgefield, Georgetown, Redding, and West Redding, who battled the house fire during Thanksgiving.
"Special thanks to the Weston Public Work, American Red Cross, Salvation Army of Danbury, Aquarion, Eversource and Soco Gas for their assistance. Thank you for your Service and I am grateful everyone is safe."
