Three years ago a man vanished, but his father is still hoping 'to bring him home'.
Geologist Daniel Robinson was driving back from a site in Buckeye, Arizona in his blue and gray Jeep Renegade, heading into the desert from near Phoenix.
The 24-year-old was never seen again.

His car was discovered in a ravine less than three miles from his job site, as well as Daniel’s clothes, cellphone, wallet, and keys - but Buckeye Police Department ruled out foul play due to the state of the car.
A collision report later released which found that his Jeep was involved in a rollover crash - it was the only crash recorded on the vehicle’s internal systems.
It also showed that speed increased right before impact, meaning it is likely that he attempted to drive up the other side of the ravine, police said, and more than 40 ignition cycles were recorded after the crash.

This information indicates Daniel may have attempted to restart the vehicle several times after, however, it was still unclear how many cycles had occurred during the recovery and prior to data collection, CNN reported.
As the investigation went on, they discovered a human skull within walking distance of the crash site, however, it was later revealed by Daniel's father, David Robinson, citing a medical examiner and police to have not been Daniels, as per Arizona Family.
Speaking to NPR, Mr Robinson, talked about his son's character: "Daniel would go after whatever he wants. Very adventurous and loved to be a part of everything."

While the police are still actively investigating Daniel's disappearance, David Robinson said: "There’s evidence out there. You just have to go look for itI want to make sure I’m doing everything I can do to make sure that [the case] remains open.”
A missing person's report said that his co-worker, who had been the last person to see him, said he'd been acting odd.
He told The Independent: "He was just looking off into the desert; he had a very, very distant look in his eyes."

According to Arizona Family, police assisted in forensically processing Daniel's electronics, but nothing led to the location of his whereabouts.
Mr Robinson has helped led search efforts, and said that he and Daniel 'had plans' prior to his disappearance.
"We had plans. He had plans that weekend, before he went missing, with his sister. They had plans to go hiking out there in Arizona. We had plans in July that I would come out and see his vehicle for the first time, so we had plans." he said, as per FOX News.
His father believes that 'some foul type of foul play happened in that scene', adding: "I just don’t know exactly what that means or what it is."

"I do have moments where I wonder if my son is not here anymore, and I still need to bring him home.” he said.
