Donald Trump has said he'll support Elon Musk's 'baby' by purchasing a Tesla vehicle amid ongoing protests regarding Musk's involvement in Trump's Administration.
The Tesla and SpaceX founder heads up the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE) within the US government, which is tasked with cutting federal costs, modernizing federal technology, ending fraud and waste of taxpayer money, as well as improving overall governmental productivity.
Basically, Musk, who was originally born in South Africa, plays a huge role within Trump's Administration.

And some people are not happy with that, evident through 'Tesla Takedown' protests over the past few days, as Musk continues to withdraw federal government spending.

While most demonstrations over the weekend were peaceful, Tesla showrooms and charging stations in Colorado and Massachusetts respectively were purposely set on fire last week.
Meanwhile, six arrests were made over Saturday and Sunday in New York as hundreds of protesters occupied a Tesla showroom in the city.

Amid protests against Musk, Trump has leaped to his friend's defense with a defiant post on Truth Social, where he dubbed the protestors 'Radical Left Lunatics'.
The president wrote: "To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is 'putting it on the line' in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s 'baby', in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.

"They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???"

Trump didn't make it clear what Tesla he's planning on buying, though you would imagine it would be one of the more expensive ones.
It comes after Musk provided his thoughts on how to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.
The 53-year-old called for sanctions to be placed on some of the wealthiest individuals from Ukraine.
"Place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs, especially the ones with mansions in Monaco, and this will stop immediately. That is the key to the puzzle," Musk wrote on Twitter.
