People shocked after Donald Trump gets hit in the face by reporter with boom mic live on tv

The US President was answering questions about the Middle East when the incident occured

President Donald Trump’s reaction to being hit in the face with a boom mic by a reporter has left people shocked.

The 45th and 47th President of the United States was answering questions from the press at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Friday March 14 when he was suddenly hit in the face with a big, fuzzy boom mic – also known as a muff.

The muff can be seen touching his mouth and sliding across his face as he closed his eyes and leaned back to stop it from touching him.

Extended microphones are typically something that reporters use to keep their distance from a camera shot when interviewing someone with many other reporters on the scene, as it would get pretty crowded if they were all holding a mic to his face.

But it seems like someone miscalculated the distance between Trump and the muff, sliding it across his face as he glared at the reporter in question.

While it’s not clear who the reporter was working for, we do know that she is a woman, as the 78-year-old clapped back a comment after he made contact with the fuzz ball, stating: “She just made television tonight. She just became a big story tonight.”

His reaction to it all, seemed a little annoyed, but also amused as well as he initially shot her daggers, before raising his eyebrows and then laughing as he asked someone off camera: “Did you see that?”

After the incident, which has been circulating online, has shocked many people.

Many believe that he took it like a champ, while others were furious that the reporter made contact with his face.

One person wrote: “A reporter just HIT President Trump with a microphone. But 47 handled it like a PRO.”

Another said: “How on earth did a reporter get that boom mic so close to Trump’s face? This just doesn’t seem right. Security should tighten up. Embarrassing for the press.”

Someone else commented: “President Trump was just smacked in the face by a reporter's boom mic. Unreal these people. Have some respect.”

"Where's the secret service," some of Trump's supporters asked, as they can’t believe that someone can get that close to him.

Others believe that the muff was contaminated with ‘poison’ or 'infected with the next pandemic'.

They think it could be something like 'fentanyl, anthrax, herpes'.

Another went on to claim that 'this should be treated as an assassination attempt'.

A user wrote: “I am going to say yes. And if Trump mysteriously gets sick or has some medical situation then the boom mic was laced with something that microphone should have been confiscated on the spot.”

Another called for the person to be fired.

So, there are varying reactions to this mishap.

I bet you wouldn’t want to be that reporter right now.

This comes after he took to Truth Social, to share that he had a ‘good’ talk with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, after trying to strike a deal between the nation and Ukraine, after its three-year war.
