Donald Trump has made unexpected comments about deporting US citizens and people on the internet have been left stunned.
One of the president's main policies during the election campaign last year was to crackdown on illegal immigration, a plan Trump has worked hard on since returning to office.
Earlier this week, the 47th POTUS unveiled plans for a new immigration centre in Florida and nicknamed the facility 'Alligator Alcatraz' due to its location at an abandoned air strip in the middle of a Miami swamp.
Trump visited the centre on Tuesday (July 1), which lead to much of the internet pointing out a chilling detail from the president's visit.

The Republican president spoke to the press during his visit to the Everglades, where he made a surprising threat to a certain group of American citizens.

"We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time," Trump said. "They're not new to our country. They're old to our country. Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here, too, if you want to know the truth.
"So maybe that will be the next job."

The astonishing interview is doing the rounds on social media, and it's fair to say much of the internet has been left stunned by Trump's recent comments.
"I don’t think I will ever understand how we got here," one person penned on Reddit.
A second added: "A convicted felon talking about 'bad people' is the definition of rich," while a third remarked: "He is showing an instability never once shown by a US President."
And a fourth quipped: "Lol we’re so f**king it’s not even funny."

Speaking further to press on Tuesday, Trump said he would like to see similar centres in 'really, many states' across the US.
He added: "Pretty soon, this facility will handle the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet. The only way out, really, is deportation."
Before arriving at the centre, Trump joked about migrants being held there, saying: “We’re going to teach them how to run away from an alligator if they escape prison."

"Don’t run in a straight line. Run like this,” the president added, as he moved his hand in a zigzag motion.
Never a dull day in the world of Donald Trump as president, is there?
