A video of Elon Musk 'mesmerised' playing with his cutlery at a dinner with Donald Trump has gone viral.
When he's not busy being accused of doing a 'Nazi salute' at a rally or being the subject of brutal comments from his estranged daughter, Donald Trump's head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is apparently playing with his cutlery at dinner.
As Musk's efforts to curb government spending have faced intense scrutiny, a video has been widespread on social media showing him 'effortlessly balanc[ing] a fork and spoon on one finger while dining with Trump'.

The video shows the Tesla CEO sat at a dining table with director of Neuralink Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk shares four children, indeed playing with some cutlery.
It then pans to show Trump sat to the right of Musk in discussion with someone else - all while Musk is busy focusing on his cutlery.
Although, Musk has since taken to the platform to correct initial reports, noting: "A fork and two spoons balanced on the tip of my finger."
The dinner was reportedly hosted by Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida on March 15, Times Now News reports. The dinner reportedly required a $1 million per seat contribution.

And it's not taken long for people to weigh in.

"Peak genius and dinner entertainment," a Twitter user noted.
Another wrote: "I bet this hits so hard if you’re seven."

And the conversation has spilled over onto Reddit too.
"This photo is cropped but in other versions the president is sitting in the chair next to him talking to someone. I find that makes Elon playing with silverware even stranger..." one user wrote.
A second said: "He’s hoping someone will pay attention to him. 'Hey! That looks neat! Man, you’re so cool!' It’s so painfully transparent."

Another echoed: "The video is so sad. He's just sitting there doing a childhood dinner trick while waiting for someone to notice how 'cool' it was. Next he's gonna do the hang the spoon off your nose trick lol. This is the s**t I did when my parents dragged me to dinner parties as a kid."
And a third resolved: "People on Twitter are legitimately like 'THIS IS HOW SOMEONE WAY SMARTER THAN YOU BRAINSTORMS A DESIGN FOR A SATELLITE'
"Like bigger f**king simps could not possibly exist in the known universe."
