Documents obtained by the outlet say his parents, Diaja Smith, 23, and his father, Jacoby Robinson Sr., 24, have been indicted on murder and child abuse charges.
Police believe that Jacoby died the day before Smith allegedly placed his body in the dumpster near Lewis Avenue and 14th Street.
The documents then claim that Smith called emergency services, citing that her child was missing and that he had been abducted from a local park.

"I just can't think right now," she said to 911. "I don't understand what happened."
Five hours after Smith made the distress call, police located the child’s deceased body inside of the dumpster - a video of the moment has been shared by 8 News Now.
In the horrifying clip, a Las Vegas city marshal who arrived on the scene can be heard saying: “F***, f****, f***, f***, f***, f*** - just look in there,” before asking his partner to ‘call Metro’.
Before allegedly putting the body in the dumpster, a surveillance camera captured a woman - who officials claim is Smith - walking with a stroller containing her three children.

Police claim to suspect that Jacoby was already deceased when the footage was captured before she rang 911.
Another clip from a surveillance camera then caught Smith allegedly walking towards the dumpster before a large metal 'boom' sounded and she walked out of shot.
Photos of Jacoby's body, obtained by 8 News Now, allegedly showed 'significant signs of physical injury to [his] head, torso and buttocks,' as per documents.

However, Smith has denied ever hitting the child and documents claim that he had ‘suffered a seizure the day before his death’.
The Clark County Department of Family Services ‘recorded three prior contacts’ with the family.
Records claim that Smith sent a letter to Robinson Sr. from jail, according to prosecutors.
“I feel so bad because I feel like I wasn’t doing the same for you, I was just on autopilot trying not to crash,” a detective read to the grand jury, as per transcripts.

“[Expletive], why didn’t I listen when I said no more whoopings when you told me to stop whooping the kids. I really hope you can forgive me. Love deep down I really do. I cherished every moment with you.
"I wish I cooked us one last meal. I’m sorry I wasn’t thinking right.”
Both Smith and Robinson remain in jail without bail and their next court appearance is scheduled for August 8.
