A former Korean SEAL soldier has been handed to prosecutors after assaulting controversial streamer Johnny Somali.

For those of you who do not know, Johnny Somali, real name, Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is a Kick streamer who is known for controversial 'pranks'.

Having already gotten himself in trouble numerous times in Japan and decided to bait Japanese locals and business owners with his rude disturbances.

He was even officially charged after getting arrested for blasting loud music and causing a scene in an Osakan restaurant.

The vlogger came under fire initially after he was heard loudly making offensive remarks.

He was heard shouting the words ‘Hiroshima’ and ‘Nagasaki’ in public areas, referencing the awful nuclear warfare the country suffered.

He was also caught trespassing onto a construction site wearing a Halloween mask and had been pictured smiling as he was taken away, causing Japan’s Cabinet Secretary Matsuno to address streamers like Somali, telling them that they were ‘invading privacy and causing a nuisance.’

However, since then he’s decided to do similar things in South Korea, which resulted in him having a ‘bounty’ leveraged above his head for approximately $770 which asked for information regarding his location.

It wasn’t long until the streamer was caught by a YouTuber who was formerly part of the Korean special forces, known as Dalgeun Yu.

Yu is a former Underwater Demolition Team and SEAL soldier who knew about Somali’s antics and he wasn’t happy about it.

Some of the things the streamer did in South Korea included kissing the Statue of Peace, which is a monument of a woman sitting on a bench which represents the ‘comfort women’ who were forced into sexual slavery during the Japanese invasion during WW2.

In a clip that Yu posted to his Instagram account, when he found Somali, he punched him, which knocked him to the ground in front of the police.

Yu later claimed that he ‘did what I had to do as a Korean citizen,’ and has been asking for donations to support his legal fees.

And Yu may be facing jail time for his punch.

As reported by Korea JoongAng Daily, the former soldier was handed over to the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office by the police on November 28.

Somali will also be facing his own legal battle and is due to go to trial in December for obstruction of business in Japan.

He’s also being investigated for violating anti-terrorism laws, using AI to deepfake a girlfriend, drug use, and broadcasting North Korean propaganda.

As per YouTube lawyer Legal Mindset, other charges will be filed in December and could put Somali behind bars for a long time.
