A streamer has faced condemnation after stealing money from a fast-food restaurant tip jar and using the money to pay for his food.
On Sunday (October 15), Kick streamer Sweatergxd filmed himself sticking his hand into a burger shop tip jar before a member of staff comes to take his order.
The clip has also gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, and has been viewed more than 4 million times since being posted on October 18.

The incident appeared to happen at a Dave's Hot Chicken restaurant.
The video footage shows, in full view of his watching audience, the streamer pull out a handful of notes from the tip jar.
Unbeknown to the staff members, he then proceeds to place his order. When it came to payment the streamer pushed forward the stolen tips and said he would pay the rest on card.
While some of the viewers found the situation funny and posted 'lmao' and 'lol' in the chat repeatedly, others were less impressed.

Many other fans of Sweatergxd’s were quick to call him out on his unacceptable behavior.
One viewer wrote on the stream, “Your a f****** moron.” while another added, “nah you’re weird."
Others simply said this stunt wasn’t funny and predicted Sweatergxd would later get arrested.

When the footage was posted to X, some social media users questioned whether wilfully committing a crime would be a bannable offence.
Kick, a relatively new streaming platform attempting to rival giants like Twitch, has outlined that illegal activity is not allowed on its platform.
“While we allow discussions and opinions on political topics, involvement in illegal activities, promotion of violent or illegal agendas, incitement of violence, or endorsement of unlawful methods to bypass laws is strictly prohibited,” the platform states on its guidelines page, however this caveat is under political content compliance.
The platform has been taking steps to improve its moderation in recent weeks as it added a report button on all channels as of October 6.

The streaming platform also outlined in its guidelines that it does not intend to take a blanket approach to policing its users, however.
“Instead of blanket punitive measures that may foster resentment or additional disruptive behaviors, we believe in a reformative approach that involves working collaboratively with our Creators,” the platform states on its website.
“We engage in open discussions about their actions, intent, and potential remediation to foster elevated standards, respect, and trust within our community."

The platform also encourages viewers who find some creators 'too loud, annoying or even offensive' to simply navigate away from their content and search for alternative creators.
