Miller's husband, pastor John-Paul Miller, announced the news during a Sunday service at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach shortly after Mica's death.
“I got a call late last night, my wife has passed away. It was self-induced and it was up in North Carolina,” John-Paul said, as reported by the New York Post.
“Y’all pray for me and my kids and everybody. You all knew she wasn’t well mentally and she needed medicine that was hard to get to her. I’m sure there will be more details to come, but keep her family in your prayers.”

He added: “She had struggled with suicide before. Each time we would help her through it and take her to the doctor, and we got through it and everything was fine. She even gave a few testimonies here at church that we have on video.
“She battled suicide but God took care of her and got her through it.”
Following the tragic incident, friends and family were left shocked by recent events and urged police to investigate 'deeply'.
Now, haunting CCTV footage has been released showing Mica's final hours on that tragic April day.

The footage begins with Mica pulling up in a black sedan at a North Carolina gas station and entering it.
This is where authorities say she died hours later from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
In the eerie CCTV clip, which was filmed at around 1:30pm, Mica can be seen stepping out of her car, before opening up the gas tank and proceeding into the store.

Now inside the gas station store, Mica picks out an energy drink, goes to the counter to purchase it, before heading back to the car.
The 30-year-old then waits for her tank to fill up as she sips her drink.
Mica then drives away, bringing an end to the CCTV footage.
John-Paul is not suspected of any foul play, as police confirmed he was in a different state with other people when Mica died.

Now, the FBI has launched a 'parallel investigation' with Robeson County Sheriff connected to the case.
But according to PEOPLE, they are not investigating Mica's death.
Damien McLean from Robeson County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet: "[The FBI is] investigating separate from her death. Her death has been ruled [a] suicide.”
UNILAD has reached out to Robeson County Sheriff's Office for comment.
