A mom-of-three was fatally shot at her home over the weekend.
Kaitlynn Lee, 25, was filming a TikTok video with a friend at her home in New Albany, Indiana, when she heard a banging at the window.
Lee is then said to have approached the window when she asked 'what are you doing here?', according to her friend who was with her at the time.

Two to three shots were then fired and Lee, a mother-of-three, sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head.
The person on the other side of the window has since been identified as Lee's ex partner Joshua Thompson, whom she shares a child with.
Thompson has now been charged with the 25-year-old's murder and is being held without bond until his trial in March 2025.

He's also been charged with invasion of privacy, criminal recklessness and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
Local outlets have reported that Thompson had an active no-contact order with Lee.
Police reviewed the TikTok video that was being filmed at the time of the ordeal. They say that Lee was seen 'laughing, dancing and lip-synching' with her pal to a song in the moments leading up to her untimely death.

Lee is said to have had a 'toxic relationship' with her ex who has been charged with her murder and reportedly Thompson has previously made threats on her life.
Speaking out after Saturday's sad events, Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane said, as per Mail Online: "We take domestic violence allegations seriously. And we're taking them seriously in this case.
"Unfortunately this is not unusual for these allegations and circumstances, relationships can lead to tragic results and unfortunately the allegations are that's what happened."
Lee's family have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for the mom-of-three's funeral. The service is set to take place tomorrow (August 15) and, at the time of writing, over $8,100 of their $10,000 target has been raised.

"As a lot of you already know, my cousin, Kaitlynn Lee was shot and killed on Saturday, August 10th," fundraiser organizer Jannette Roberts wrote on the page.
"I am making this account because of this horrible incident to raise money to give her a proper funeral/burial. Any extra money will go to helping with the expenses of her children during this time. SHE DESERVES THIS, at the very least. She didn’t deserve what happened to her. Those babies do NOT deserve to have to go through this.
"I will never be able to wrap my head around how or why someone could do something so inhumane. Because of someone’s selfish actions her 3 beautiful babies now have to grow up without a mother."

In an update, Roberts has asked people to send any last minute donations ahead of tomorrow's service directly to Newcomer Funeral Home.
