A man has been accused of killing someone and then texting a handyman to come round and clear up the mess.
On Saturday (September 28) at around 9:52am, police received a call from a handyman who reported finding the body of 43-year-old Christopher Hahn at a property on Oakville Avenue in East Quogue, New York.
Jeremy Allen, 43, was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder alongside tampering with evidence - charges of which he's since pleaded not guilty - and prosecutors have now shared further details from the investigation.

At Allen's arraignment in Southhampton Town Justice Court yesterday, authorities told the judge, as quoted by News12 Long Island: "Hahn was a friend of Allen’s and was a guest at his house."
Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Elena Tomaro stated that Allen allegedly beat Hahn for several hours before dragging him onto the patio and continuing to beat him using a baseball bat.
He then allegedly fetched a 'large knife' and 'stabbed' Hahn 'in the head and neck' - the act allegedly caught on the home video camera, according to the prosecutor.

Tomaro alleges Allen then texted a handyman asking him to come to the property and clean it but when they arrived, one of Allen's dog uncovered Hahn's body which he had allegedly hidden under a piece of tarp.
After the handyman spotted Hahn's feet poking out from under the tarp, Tomaro alleges Allen told the handyman: "Now you can't leave. Now you have to help clean up the house."
However, the handyman allegedly made up the excuse of needing more bleach and after managing to leave the property, called police instead.

Southhampton Town Police reportedly arrived at the property just before 10:00am, pronouncing Hahn dead at the scene. Hahn's cause of death has yet to be publicly released.
Allen's attorney Astarita claims Hahn had been told not to come to Allen's house but came anyway and on the Friday evening the pair 'became very intoxicated' at a bar despite agreeing to attend an addiction group together.
Allen has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is reportedly due back in court on Friday with prosecutors said to be hoping to present the case to a grand jury on Wednesday.
