Two people have died and a third has been left injured after a small plane spiralled to the ground and crashed into a home in Oregon.
Emergency services were made aware of the incident shortly before 7pm local time on Tuesday (3 October), when multiple people called 911 to report seeing the plane spinning towards the ground.

Micah Schauer was in the area when the plane began to drop, and managed to capture footage of the chilling scene.
Speaking to KGW News, he said: "I'm in shock, I ended up getting a glimpse and being [like] 'someone else has to see this to confirm what I'm seeing'."
According to the fire department, a total of three people were inside the plane when it settled partially in the home and partially in the backyard.

Responders initially reported two people inside the plane, one of which was pronounced dead on the scene. The second was extricated from the plane by firefighters before being taken by a Life Flight helicopter to a Portland trauma hospital, where they were treated for serious injuries.
It wasn't until firefighters gained further access to the plane that they discovered a third occupant, who was also reported to be dead on the scene.
Thankfully no one inside the house, or in the surrounding outside areas, were injured in the crash, though neighbors Chris and Nicole knew their seven-year-old son was outside playing with the boy who lived in the home when the incident took place.
Chris told KGW: "I ran out to see if my boy was okay, and they were crying. I said 'did the plane hit the house?' and they go 'yeah it hit my buddy's house'."

Expressing her relief that the boys were okay, Nicole added: "Thank goodness. Somebody's looking out for them and had them in the front yard."
Firefighters interviewed the owners of the home and learned there were multiple people inside when the crash took place, but they were all able to evacuate safely and without injury.
Those who have been displaced as a result of the crash have since been given assistance from the Red Cross, and crews from the fire department's Technical Rescue Team and Urban Search and Rescue were deployed to help manage the scene and ensure the home was structurally safe after the plane came through the roof.

An investigation into the cause of death of those on board and what caused the plane to spiral and crash is now underway by the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board .
