CCTV footage shows the shocking moment two pit bull terriers tore pieces off a parked SUV.
The dogs approached the car shortly after a neighbor's cat was filmed scurrying underneath it.
And footage captured from a camera focused on the driveway shows the two dogs tearing into the car in an apparent attempt to reach the cat.
Their assault on it is so violent that the vehicle can be seen rocking back and forth from the sheer force of their tugging.

It's not clear whether the dogs were strays or had escaped from their owner.
Neither of the two pit bulls appeared to be wearing a collar.
The cat, which was spotted earlier in the video, fled underneath the car and reports suggested that it had hid inside the engine block, drawing the dogs' attention to the car.
Luckily, the distressed feline escaped the incident unharmed.

And Christie Barr was left horrified when she saw the damage to her car the next day.
Christie told Inside Edition: "On the video you could see both of them tugging on it, and they were tugging so hard that my car moved.

"Nobody believed me until they saw it on tape. It's just bizarre, nobody believed that dogs would do that."
She also told FOX 8 that if the dogs had managed to get the cat, she 'wouldn't be here today'.
In the end, the two dogs caused nearly $3,000 worth of damage to the car.
And people took to the comments to share their opinion about the shocking incident - with many of them saying the same thing.

One wrote: "If these dogs can do that much damage to [a] car as if it was in an accident what more [could they do to] humans?? The pet owners need to held accountable."
Another said the dog's owners 'needs to be charged and needs to pay for the repairs that their dogs did', adding: "If these dogs can do that much damage to a car to try to get to a cat what do you think would happen if they (the dogs) got ahold of a child?"
A third wrote: "I can only imagine what they would have done to that cat."

Christine also had her own message for pet owners, telling FOX 8: "You need to take care of them. Don’t let them be out running the streets during the middle of the night.”
