A GoPro camera caught terrifying footage of a pilot and those onboard crashing into a forest in Idaho.
A group of friends were lucky to escape with their lives after a small plane crashed into a forest in what could have been a deadly incident.
YouTuber outdoors2stay shared his harrowing experience on his channel and allowed people a view inside the cockpit just before the 2012 crash.

The small plane was meant to take the occupants into the mountains for a morning hike in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho but they never made it.
The footage starts normally enough with the YouTuber even smiling to the camera before placing it in the cockpit to record the view.
The plane initially struggles to take off, with it even outrunning the runway and taking off on grass.
You would hope when they were in the air it was smooth sailing from then on out, but things only got worse.

The plane struggled to gain altitude and continue to fly directly towards a forest coming up only just flying above the entrance of the trees before slowly starting to plummet.
The footage shows the plane eventually dip and the screen go black as the cockpit is filled with tree debris.
The YouTuber explained that the small plane crash happened due to the weather conditions and that everyone was expected to make a full recovery.

Writing in the description they wrote: “This is unprecedented footage of a small airplane crash from inside the cockpit from two different views.
"Miraculously, everyone survived. The pilot will make a full recovery and the rest of us escaped with superficial injuries and feel very lucky to be alive.
“This trip was much anticipated and due to our excitement we had our GoPro cameras filming at various times.

“Due to warming temperatures there was an increase in density altitude, and we had a hard time getting adequate lift.”
He also thanked those who came to their aid eventually and offer them help.
According to the sheriff's office, two people in the plane had to be flown to hospital by air ambulance, KBOI reports.
Many people in the comments reiterated just how lucky they were all were to walk away with only minor injuries and after watching the crash, they certainly had luck on their side.
