In a statement, Los Angeles Sheriff's Deparment Lt. Daniel Vizcarra said deputies found a female 'suffering numerous cuts and lacerations on her body' when they arrived at the scene at the 300 block of South Huntington Avenue, between Arrow Highway and Cienega Avenue.
Upon seeing police, the woman laid down the sword. Another clip shows the object lying next to a U-Haul truck parked on the street.
"That female then directs them to a residence on the street where the deputies find an additional female suffering also from lacerations, [who] was later pronounced dead at the scene," Vizcarra continued.

Deputies found another woman at the home who was unharmed in the attack, but she had to be taken to hospital after suffering a medical emergency.
On Friday, police said the two surviving women were in a stable condition.
It is not currently clear whether the woman who featured in the video was a victim or a suspect in the incident.
Ed Consencino, a resident in the area, told ABC 7 he 'didn't recognize' the lady.

"She just said hello, hello. Maybe she was just crying for help, but at the same time I'm thinking why does she have a sword?" he said.
While neighbors did not recognize the woman, they said the two women found at the home were 'quiet people'.
Fellow resident Trinh Garcia explained: "They only came out to get the mail, open the garage, take the trash out, other than that, they were quiet people."
