A 20-year-old South University college student has passed away at the age of 20 and police have launched an investigation into his death.
Yesterday (February 27), 20-year-old Caleb Wilson was brought to Baton Rouge Hospital and later passed away, with 'an off-campus incident believed to have contributed' to his death, according to authorities.
The college junior from New Orleans was majoring in mechanical engineering at Southern University in Louisiana, and prior to his passing, it's reported he took part in a ritual with members of Omega Psi Phi at North Sherwood Forest Community Park, police state.
Sources told police Wilson was taking part in a fraternity event, and was standing in a line to make a pledge when he collapsed, FOX 8 Live reports.

Caleb's passing was confirmed by Southern University in an statement sent out to the community by Southern University and A&M College Chancellor John K. Pierre.
Pierre detailed, as quoted by KTAL News: "An off-campus incident is believed to have contributed to Caleb’s death. Southern University is cooperating fully with the Baton Rouge Police Department, which is leading the investigation. At this time, no further details are available."
Police are still investigating the student's passing, and an autopsy report ascertaining Wilson's cause of death has yet to be publicly released.
The university has reportedly temporarily suspended all student organizations - including student clubs, sororities and fraternities - as the investigation continues.
