A woman tragically died after being 'violently ejected by revolving door' at a Trump hotel, her family are claiming in a lawsuit.
Diana Truschke, from the San Francisco Bay area of California, was visiting the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on March 21, 2023, when disaster struck.
According to her son in a wrongful death lawsuit, the 78-year-old real estate agent was hit by a malfunctioning revolving door, which struck her with enough force in the back to 'violently eject' her some several feet as she left the 64-storey building.

The door apparently sped up in rotation, while she was inside it and when it removed her, she fell onto her face and sustained injuries.

"As a result, Ms. Truschke was violently ejected from the revolving door, causing her to be thrown several feet, ultimately falling to the sidewalk on her face," the lawsuit states, as per The Independent.
The woman was then rushed to hospital where she received medical treatment.

Her son is now suing the company for alleged negligence, reports NBC News, stating that the hotel should have known that the door was broken.
According to the suit seen by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Ms Truschke's fall after being struck by the door caused permanent and ongoing injuries that required extensive treatment, though it did not detail the specific injuries she sustained.
Tragically, more than 18 months after the incident on October 14, 2024, the woman died which her son says is 'due to complications from her injuries.'
The legal complaint was filed on behalf of her estate and its administrator, her son and only heir, John Truschke, in Clark County, Nevada, in the civil court on March 18.

It alleges the hotel failed to comply with health and safety laws and regulations with the door, and that it was hazardous to people at the time.
The lawsuit adds the hotel should have been aware that it wasn't working correctly and should have issued safety warnings.
John is now seeking compensation in excess of $15,000 for medical and funeral expenses as well as damages for pain, suffering, loss of comfort and companionship, economic damages, future earnings, costs and expenses incurred through medical treatments and the physical and emotional pain she endured.
