A woman who slept with 500 men has said that every one should sleep with this many people before deciding who they want to settle down with.
Samantha Phillips was a Penthouse model back in the 1990s, and claims that no woman can know if she's met the one until she's slept with 500 men.

Samantha now works with newer porn actors, advising them with knowledge they may not have picked up at home.
The former model claimed that this is the best way to figure out if the person that you're with is the one, reasoning that experience would inform whether someone is the real deal.
Samantha spoke on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast, where host Holly Randall, who is an adult film director and erotic photographer, has frank discussions with some of the biggest names in adult entertainment.
Speaking on the podcast, Samantha said: "The person that you choose to be with after being with 500 guys, that is a special person because you've had them all and he's better."

Experience can certainly inform a decision alright!
Samantha clarified that this can be a useful way to help someone discover their sexuality and figure out what is right for them.
She continued: "When you're a younger person and you're discovering your sexuality and you're discovering relationships and what works for you, I think that you should be with as many people as possible before you settle down.

"You want to know what's out there. You don't ever want to have a second thought, like, I just married the first guy I ever was with. And, you know, like, what else is out there?"
The former model also suggested that a full range of potential partners is 'like a buffet table', and said that you should try all the different things available before deciding what will be your 'main meal'.
She suggested: "You need to taste everything."

Needless to say this approach may well be the right one for many people, but of course, this is something that each of us has to figure out for ourselves.
As long as there's enthusiastic consent from everyone involved, there's nothing wrong with sleeping around, but equally there shouldn't be pressure to do that.
It's certainly one way to figure out who's the right person for you, or even if that sort of relationship is what you want, but it's by no means the only way.
