Most people would consider themselves extremely lucky if they won the lottery.
But to win the lottery more than once? That would be an abnormal amount of good fortune.
And winning it a whopping five times? That would truly make you one of God's favourite creations.
One American woman managed to score the jackpot five times by using the same set of numbers across five tickets.

Her winning selection?
Combining her birthday dates with her mother's.
Upon checking the winning numbers for Match 4 on the app, she discovered that she'd bagged $10,000 for each game - a cool $50,000 overall. Not too shabby.
The story was shared in a press release by Washington state's lottery.

It read: "She immediately shared the news with her husband who was so shocked by the coincidence that she was left speechless."
The winner said she's looking to donate a portion of her winnings to non-profit organisations and animal charities throughout the country.
According to Washington's Lottery, Match 4 is a daily draw game where players select four numbers from one to 24.

This Washington woman isn't the first person to score big time while playing the lottery.
One man has her beat for wins, as he hit the jackpot an eye watering fourteen times.
After the tenth win, that's just showing off surely.

Stefan Mandel, a Romanian-Australian economist, explained how he did it.
With the help of a group of investors and a syndicate called the International Lotto Fund, Mandel targeted 14 lotteries around the world.
In an interview shared to YouTube, Mandel said: "Theoretically, anybody can buy all the possible combinations. Any high school boy or girl can calculate those combinations.
"Nobody has ever developed a logistical system to lodge such a large amount of play slips.

"We were the only winners and that was it."
Targeting a lottery in the state of Virginia, Mandel estimated that they had 7,059,052 to choose from, due to state rules about picking six numbers between one and 44.
Apparently these were pretty good odds.
Virginia also allows players to print their tickets at home, rather than purchasing them from a cashier.
With thirty computers on hand, Mandel and his team printed out every ticket imaginable.
Ultimately, Mandel and his team scooped up $900,000 in additional prizes, alongside a $27 million jackpot prize.
Certainly makes the woman from Washington's $50,000 win look like a pittance, huh?
Not that I'd turn down $50,000...
