A woman who ran over her husband and his mistress after catching them cheating has avoided jail after pleading guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
In March 2021 Christie Lee Kennedy found her husband David Larkin kissing another woman, Zowie Noring and crashed her car into them.
A court was told that she had tracked him down using the Find My Phone app after he'd said to her that he was going to pick up their children from daycare.

Kennedy said she saw her husband and the other woman 'kissing and cuddling' and accelerated as she drove towards them before applying her brakes.
She hit both of them with her car, then got out and punched Noring in the face while calling her a 'fat moll' and a 'slut' before getting back into her car and driving further up the street.
Noring got into her car and drove away, while Kennedy returned on foot to shout at her husband and waited with him until an ambulance and the police arrived.

Footage of the collision which showed the moment the incident occurred was shown to the jury during Kennedy's trial and was later obtained by 9News.
During her trial Kennedy pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while a jury found her not guilty on two counts of malicious act with intent to disable.
The jury was unable to deliver a verdict whether unanimous or majority on two charges of assault causing bodily harm, and two charges of assault occasioning bodily harm were withdrawn against her.
Kennedy had also pleaded guilty to common assault at the beginning of her trial for punching Noring in the face.

However, she will not be going to jail as while crown prosecutors argued that she should be jailed for three years, she was instead sentenced to nine months behind bars suspended for two years.
That means she will avoid jail if she does not get into further trouble with the law.
"I think it would be fair to conclude that you would be quite shocked about what you saw there despite what you suspicions you had prior," her trial judge said.

"You’re obviously an excellent employee and a very good mother and it’s a real shame you committed this offence but I do form a firm view that this offending is out of character and it’s unlikely you’ll reoffend with anything like this."
The mother of two was also ordered to pay AU $5,000 to both her ex husband and Noring within two weeks or she could face a month in jail.
She has also been banned from driving for nine months.
