The mom of a German tourist who was kidnapped and paraded through the street by Hamas, claims her daughter is still alive.
Shani Louk had been attending a music festival in Southern Israel when militant group Hamas launched a deadly attack.
Despite concerns about her safety, her mom, Ricarda Louk, claims she has evidence that her daughter is safe.
The 23-year-old tattooist first went missing on Oct 7, after Hamas fighters open fired on the Nature Party near Kibbutz Urim.
At least 260 people were killed in the attack, with others severely injured or kidnapped as they tried to escape the crossfire.
Witnesses at the festival described it as a 'massacre', with gunman lying in wait and 'picking off' civilians as they attempted to flee.
With Louk also unaccounted for, her family desperately tried to find the German national and later identified her in a disturbing video posted on social media.
The shocking clip showed a semi-naked young woman unconscious in a pick-up truck and paraded through the streets as Hamas fighters celebrated.
Though the militant group claimed the body was that of an Israeli soldier, a cousin of Louk's was able to identify her by her distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocks.
Now, her family claim they've received a report from Palestinian sources that the young woman is in a Hamas hospital. Her mom also gave an update as she appeared on German TV to discuss her missing daughter.
Ricarda Louk told Bild: "We now have evidence that Shani is alive but has a serious head injury and is in critical condition. Every minute is critical."
In a desperate plea to German officials, she added: "You have to act quickly and get Shani out of the Gaza Strip!
"We shouldn’t argue about questions of jurisdiction now!"
The young woman is one of many tourists missing in Israel, following the multi-pronged attack across the nation.
So far, 700 people have been killed with many still unaccounted for.
Her mother previously pleaded for information about her daughter, after seeing the kidnapping footage.
Sharing her story on social media, the concerned mom held up a photo of Louk and begged for any update.
"We were sent a video in which I could clearly see our daughter unconscious in the car with the Palestinians and them driving around the Gaza Strip," Louk's mom recalled.
She added: "I ask you to send us any help or news. Thank you very much."
