A man who drowned moments after proposing to his girlfriend shared a heartbreakingly romantic note - which ended up being his final words.
People will often go to great lengths to ensure their proposal to their partners is as special as possible, and in 2019, Steven Weber decided to ask his girlfriend, Kenesha Antoine, to marry him in a unique proposal.
The couple were on a trip to Tanzania, East Africa and were staying at the Manta Resort, off Pemba Island, which is reported to cost as much as $1,700-a-night for a cabin.

Steven and Kenesha were staying in a cabin that was partially submerged in the water, and on the third night of their vacation, he decided to ask the all-important question whilst diving, and appeared underneath the glass floor of their room.
Whilst underwater, he held up a note in a zip-lock plastic bag to Kenesha, who was recording the event.
On the note, Steven wrote: "I can't hold my breath for long enough to tell you everything I love about you BUT everything I love about you I love more EVERY DAY!"

He then flipped the note around which asked Kenesha for her hand in marriage before presenting her with a ring.
Kenesha can be heard laughing and exclaiming 'how cute' the gesture was.
But little did she know at this point that she would never be able to say yes to his face.
Whilst coming up from the dive, Steven sadly failed to resurface.

According to the BBC, Matthew Saus, the CEO of the Manta Resort, his staff responded to a 'problem in the water', however, when they arrived 'absolutely nothing could be done'.
Following his death, Kenesha wrote a heartbreaking post to Facebook alongside a video of his proposal.
She wrote: "There are no words adequate enough to honor the beautiful soul that is Steven Weber, Jr.

"You were a bright light to everyone you encountered. You never met a stranger, and you brought so much joy to so many people.
"You were kind, compassionate, you regularly made me cry with laughter, and you showered me with a love like none I’d ever experienced."
The post continued: "You never emerged from those depths, so you never got to hear my answer, 'Yes! Yes! A million times, yes, I will marry you!!'
"We never got to embrace and celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together, as the best day of our lives turned into the worst, in the cruelest twist of fate imaginable."

She concluded: "I will find you and marry you in the next lifetime, and the next, and the next, and the next... I love you so much, and I always will."
Saus told the BBC that everyone was 'shaken to the core' by Steven's passing, with the US Department of State saying that they were aware of the death of a US citizen in Tanzania.
"We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss." they said. "We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance."
