Man with 'world's smallest penis' gives heartbreaking admission on why he remained single

The man who claims to have the 'world's smallest penis' has opened up about the impact his small endowment has had on his life.

When it comes to penises, size is not everything and actually the average size in the US is smaller than you might think.

In fact, the average penis size in the US is 5.5 inches, making it a mystery that so many men claim to be packing eight inches on dating apps - I guess we'll never know how this discrepancy came to be.

But the insecurity and stigma that many men might feel about the size of their penis makes it very difficult for people like 38-year-old Michael Phillips.

Michael's penis is significantly smaller than the average size, measuring at 0.38 inches, and has had a profound impact on his life.

The 38-year-old from North Carolina shared how his penis has made life difficult for him.

"Just more keeping it to myself, I was younger, teen, twenties, and stuff like that I tried to keep it to myself," he said.

"I was always single, even though I had friends they probably wondered why I wasn't dating. I just didn't want to go through that."

He added: "I kept it pretty secret. There was a few girlfriends like in high school or whatever they knew about it, but as far as I know it never got around."

Of course, there is also the factor of finding it difficult to form a relationship, and Michael shared that he has tried a number of different approaches, but ultimately has remained single.

"I've probably tried every way possible," he said.

"You can be upfront like right at the beginning, you can try to talk to somebody for a while, get a connection and then tell them, or sometimes you don't say nothing at all."

Asked whether he believes he will find someone that he can have a long term relationship with, Michael replied: "I believe so. Since I started talking about it, you don't really get the perspective of women unless it's brought out there, and there's been a few stories about me and I've read comments and I've learned that there's a huge population of people that just don't care about that sort of thing."

But while his love life might be the first thing that people might jump to when they think about penis size, Michael shared that it wasn't just this.

"Like I can't go out and have a one night stand," he said, "but it also affects you with your ability to use the restroom, your confidence.

"Even sitting down can be tricky, with cleanup and everything."
