People are flooding to social media in confusion over a Marc Jacobs campaign which shows a model toppling down some stairs.
There's no doubt about it, some falls have become iconic - think Jennifer Lawrence up the stairs at the 2013 Oscars, or Madonna at the 2015 BRIT Awards - but falling over tends to be very much accidental, opposed to purposeful and to promote a new fashion collection.
Marc Jacobs' 2023 fall campaign is giving me rolling out of bed in the morning when it's cold and rainy outside, or me when I accidentally pick up a 20kg weight in the gym opposed to a 10kg.

Ultimately, you're really just going to have to see the video for yourself.
If there's one thing about the campaign, is it's really going for it - it's not just a small trip, or stumble the model performs, but a whole tumble down the stairs.
The model - Tereza Kubova - is, obviously, dressed head-to-toe in Jacobs, seen on some outdoor stairs wearing six-inch $550 Kiki platform boots, silver monogrammed trousers, a matching silver jacket and carrying an enviably large bag - you could definitely fit your laptop, a change of clothes and an umbrella in there with no issues.

Although, with a $795 price tag, good luck affording it.
Kubova then proceeds to fling herself down the stairs, tumbling over and over - the bag probably acting as quite a good cushion for the fall - before she reaches the bottom.
She covers at least 15 stairs and once on ground level again, picks herself back up, dusts herself off, and off she struts - as if nothing's happened.

It's chaotic, actually pretty relatable, but it's left viewers feeling pretty bamboozled.
Marc Jacobs shared the footage in a post to X - formerly known as Twitter.
The caption reads: "The XL Sack Bag. Shot and directed by Yulya Shadrinksy."
And people have flooded to the post to weigh in on the campaign.

One user said: "She definitely knows how to do a barrel roll."
"She puts the stun in stunt," another commented.
A third added: "Love how she got up like nothing happened," a third added.

"That looks safer than an air bag," a fourth wrote.
And a final said: "I can do that too, contact me."
