Marilyn Bergeron went missing over 15 years ago, and her final words to her friend still cause concern and deepen the mystery of her disappearance.
Quebec woman Marilyn Bergeron was only 24 years old when she vanished from her family home on February 17, 2008, and her disappearance has remained a mystery.
Her parents told authorities that she had returned to live with them after being in Montreal for three years.

However, they did note that she was struggling with something emotionally.
Back in November 2017, her family held a press conference hoping to breathe new life into the investigation. They also asked the Quebec provincial police to take over the investigation from the Quebec City force because their daughter was living in Montreal.
That year, there had been a total of 43 reported sightings of Bergeron since the parents held a press conference in February of that year.
While there still doesn’t appear to be any progress made regarding what happened to Bergeron, her final words are still quite haunting.

Friend of Bergeron Jonathan Gauthier recalled the final conversation he had with the missing woman.
He said the pair were speaking at his apartment in December 2007, and that Bergeron seemed erratic and spoke ominously about what was going on.
He said: “She cried and she told me something had happened.

“She couldn't tell me, she wouldn't tell me. I asked her whether she had been raped or something like that and all of her answers were, ‘No, it's worse, it's worse.’”
He then questioned whether she was in danger, asking whether she had witnessed a murder and she again told him ‘No, it's worse.’
She eerily added: “You just can't imagine what happened."
A year after her disappearance, there was reason to believe she was in Hawkesbury, Ontario, near the Quebec border.

Guy Salico, a Hawkesbury resident, held a press conference with Bergeron’s parents, stating an alleged run-in he had with her back in December 2009.
He said Bergeron rang the doorbell of his home at 2 or 3 in the morning asking for directions to Chamberland Street in Hawkesbury.
“When she came to our house, she was cold, she was frail, wet, because it was raining outside.”

He says she refused his and his partner’s offer to drive her to her destination, and after about 15 minutes, she left.
“She had a little jacket, blue jeans, a light, white T-shirt with a V-neck, and she had high-heeled shoes on.”
He also noted that she did not look impaired and was very polite.
He added that he had no clue who she was until the next day, when he linked her with the circulating pictures of the missing Quebec girl.
