At a recent fundraiser, former US president Donald Trump joked that a supporter from the 'Gays For Trump' group didn't 'look gay', with a video of the incident surfacing online yesterday, 31 March.
Wednesday night's event at Mar-a-Lago, headlined by the resort owner, was in aid of former administration official John Gibbs, who is challenging for a Congressional seat in August.
However, after Trump took to the stage to begin speaking, he was soon interrupted by an audience member shouting "Gays for Trump!"

The 75-year-old has been heavily criticised for his comments about the LGBTQ+ community in the past, but that hasn't stopped a small band of his fans from creating the 'Gays For Trump' group in his honour.
Following the heckle, as MailOnline reports, Trump asked where the group members were, to which one person responded, 'we're over here'.
It was at this point that Trump bluntly responded: "You don't look gay."

In any other context, its hard to imagine a comment like this would be well received, but in front of his adoring fans, the room predictably burst into laughter.
He continued, "We did great with the gay population as you know," before the clip ends.
These are just the latest insensitive remarks the former president has made about the LGBTQ+ community since he left office in 2020.
During the final year of his presidency, a policy brief from the LGBT medical research and advocacy group, Fenway Institute, concluded that 'during its four years in office, the Trump Administration enacted more anti-LGBTQIA+ policies than any previous administration in history'.
Gibbs was a key member of that administration, having served under Dr. Ben Carson in the House and Development Department.

Remaining loyal to Trump ever since, the former official is now attempting to challenge GOP incumbent Rep. Peter Meijer for Michigan's 3rd Congressional District seat.
