A Ukraine diplomat has told Elon Musk to ‘f**k off’ after the Tesla CEO proposed a bizarre peace plan.
The SpaceX founder posted a poll on Twitter that suggested a controversial peace plan for the war to end in the eastern European country.
He said an election should be held in the regions annexed by Russia under the supervision of the United Nations and that the country must leave if that is the ‘will of the people’.
Musk also said that for peace to be secured, Crimea, a Ukrainian region currently occupied by Russian troops, must formally become a part of Russia and added the water supply to Crimea needed to be ‘assured’.

Musk also insisted that Ukraine needed to remain ‘neutral’.
At the time of writing, 37.7 per cent of people voted ‘yes’ while 62.3 per cent of Twitter users voted ‘no’.
Following the poll, Musk added that ‘this is highly likely to be the outcome in the end – just a question of how many die before then’.
He also wrote ‘also worth noting that a possible, albeit unlikely, outcome from this conflict is nuclear war’.

But Ukraine diplomat Andrij Melnyk, who has served since 2015, shut down the billionaire’s Russian-friendly proposal.
He wrote: “F**k off is my very diplomatic reply to you @elonmusk.”
American political strategist, who served as national field director for the Democratic National Committee, Adam Parkhomenko, also condemned Musk while urging the public to boycott his companies.

He wrote: “Elon Musk is a gutless chickens**t. If you buy a Tesla, you’re giving money to a Putin apologist.”
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also took fire at Musk’s tweet.
He posted a poll that said ‘Which @elonmusk do you like more?’ giving users two choices between ‘the one who supports Russia’ and the ‘the one who supports Ukraine’.
At the time of writing, 82.9 per cent voted in favour of Ukraine, while 17.1 per cent voted for Russia.

However, that didn’t stop Musk from weighing in on the Ukraine-Russian conflict.
Earlier this morning, he tweeted: “Russia is doing partial mobilization. They go to full war mobilization if Crimea is at risk. Death on both sides will be devastating.
"Russia has >3 times population of Ukraine, so victory for Ukraine is unlikely in total war. If you care about the people of Ukraine, seek peace.”
He also followed up his first tweet with an additional poll: "Let’s try this then: the will of the people who live in the Donbas & Crimea should decide whether they’re part of Russia or Ukraine.”
