After years of leaks and rumours, Apple has finally dropped their AR headset.
The tech giant brought back the famous 'one more thing' segment at today's WWDC 2023 (5 June) event to unveil the 'Apple Vision Pro'.
Despite looking like a pair of ski goggles, the high-tech device has a full 3D interface and can be controlled with your hands, eyes and voice.

When you first put the headset on, you get to see all your apps placed in and around your surroundings.
It's almost like having floating iPad/MacBook interface where you can switch between apps and tabs, play music and watch films.
“It’s the first Apple product you look through, and not at,” CEO Tim Cook said of the device.

You can also switch between augmented and full virtual reality by using a dial.
The device basically uses passthrough video that lets you see the real world in full, while also having the ability to project 3D objects into real space.
Renowned tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) explained: "They extend and transform your space. Captured fully volumetrically.

"Turn the digital crown to extend the environment more around you. Hand and eye gestures gel you move around and scroll.
"Plus voice controls: just look at a search field and start talking."
He added: "Apple Vision Pro kinda combines the watch the the iPhone and the Mac.
"3D single piece of glass at the front. Cameras and sensors facing outwards. Button to capture photos and videos, and Digital Crown. Aluminum frame. Modular with different shapes and sizes to fit faces.

"Flexible straps with auto parts for spatial audio near your ears. Magnet attachment and micro adjustments available.
"3D knitted headband with cushion. There are optical inserts from Zeiss that adjust for vision differences.
"2 hours of battery life, connect via a proprietary woven cable and magnetic puck. More than a 4K display for each eye."

The Apple Vision Pro will not be available until next year, and will start at $3,499.
Commenting on the hefty price tag on Twitter, one person said: "They just spent the last 5 minutes being like, 'this is the best product ever, best thing ever' to justify the price lmao."
Another added: "Does the 'I’m rich' app come built in, so it shows on the external view instead of the person’s eyes?"
Someone else said: "Not going to lie, I anticipated a higher price tag than that. I am kind of interested now... May not be something I am fully committed to buying yet but look forward to the video reviews and seeing if it something I should buy after launch."
