Elon Musk is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire, with the SpaceX founder likely to have a million million dollars under his belt by 2024.
A financial technology firm has predicted the year that the world’s wealthiest people will become trillionaires, and 51-year-old Musk is on track to hit the eye-watering milestone the fastest.
Musk is currently the richest person on the planet, with a fortune of $260 billion, but in less than two years that could jump to $1,000,000,000,000.

Financial firm Approve predicted Musk will be the first person in the world to become a trillionaire, with businessman Gautam Adani hot on his heels, the Daily Star reports.
Adani is predicted to become a trillionaire by 2025, while ByteDance Technology Company founder Zhang Yiming will reach the milestone the year after and Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton chairman Bernard Arnault, who will likely become a trillionaire in 2029.
It’s not the first time Musk’s likelihood to become the world’s first trillionaire has made headlines.

Back in October, The Guardian cited a Morgan Stanley forecast that predicted Musk could become the first trillionaire, with analysts at the financial company noting that Musk would likely hit the financial milestone thanks to profits from his space exploration business SpaceX, rather than wealth accumulated from electric car company Tesla.
Analyst Adam Jonas said SpaceX was ‘challenging any preconceived notion of what was possible and the timeframe possible, in terms of rockets, launch vehicles and supporting infrastructure’.
He added: “More than one client has told us if Elon Musk were to become the first trillionaire ... it won’t be because of Tesla. Others have said SpaceX may eventually be the most highly valued company in the world – in any industry.”

The news of Musk’s impending trillionaire status comes after court documents revealed he had allegedly fathered a pair of secret twins earlier this week.
According to the documents obtained by Insider, the tech mogul very quietly had twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
The world's richest man has spoken multiple times about global population and his belief that people should be having more children – and he is now the father of nine children in total.
According to Insider, Musk and Zilis, 36, filed a petition in April to change the twins' names.

The documents reportedly said the change was to reflect 'their father's last name and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name'.
The order to change the names was approved by a judge in Texas in May, and the twins were born only weeks before Musk and his ex-partner Grimes welcomed their second child via surrogate in December.
