An artificial intelligence-generated podcast of Steve Jobs and Joe Rogan has been released online.

While Apple founder Steve Jobs passed away 11 years ago, in 2011, the 20-minute podcast sees Jobs and Rogan discussing a series of different topics, including the computer industry, Buddhism and life.

You can listen to a clip below:

The podcast was created by podcast.ai which explores different topic each week. Fans are even able to suggest future interviewees and topics for them to discuss.

They explain: "podcast.ai is entirely generated by artificial intelligence. Every week, we explore a new topic in depth, and listeners can suggest topics or even guests and hosts for future episodes.

"Whether you’re a machine learning enthusiast, just want to hear your favourite topics covered in a new way or even just want to listen to voices from the past brought back to life, this is the podcast for you."

They add: "The episodes are rendered using play.ht’s ultra-realistic voices and transcripts are generated with fine-tuned language models.

"We wanted to push the boundaries of what is possible in current state of the art speech synthesis, we wanted to create content that can inspire others to do the same, and there was no one who inspired and impacted the technology world more than Steve Jobs, that's why in the first episode we brought his voice back to life.

"We are building that future, starting by a major building block of it which is the emotional and expressive human-like synthetic speech generation and ability to clone any voice with perfect resemblance."

For Jobs' appearance in the podcast, the AI appears to have been trained using previous recordings, speeches and interviews.

"The Steve Jobs episode was trained on his biography and all recordings of him we could find online so the AI could accurately bring him back to life," they explain.

The company is now encouraging listeners to suggest other popular figures for AI-generated interviews. These include David Attenborough interviewing Donald Trump, a discussion between Leonardo DaVinci and Vincent Van Gogh and Steve Jobs and Elon Musk.

"We hope others are inspired by this work and start creating even more creative audio and video content using generative AI," the company add.

You can suggest other celebrities or figures to feature in the AI-generated podcast here.

People are blown away by the podcast, with one writing on Twitter: "This is pretty mind-blowing: a podcast that is entirely generated by artificial intelligence where Joe Rogan interviews Steve Jobs."

While another said: "This is insane. The site http://podcast.ai used AI to create a decent-sounding interview between Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs."
