Houser continued: "We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you."

The return of Vice City
Back in 2002, GTA: Vice City was released and the editions that have followed have seen the game set in new locations such as the fictional US state of San Andreas and city of Los Santos and Liberty City, based in New York City.
Now, over two decades on, it's believed that GTA 6 will return to more modern Vice City.

GTA 6 could have its first female protagonist
It's been rumored that the game will have a female lead, as per a report by Bloomberg last year.
The publication said at the time that 'the woman is Latina and will be one of a pair of leading characters in a story influenced by the bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde'.

More advanced NPCs
In a leak of GTA 6 gameplay, fans noticed that police AI was notably more advanced - sparking hopes that other NPCs will also get a well-needed revamp.
NPCs are known for their strange glitches, so much so that acting like one has become a trend on TikTok.
A larger map

In light of people calling for bigger and better maps, it's expected that Rockstar Games may address this with a new and improved map.
A tiny portion of a map was leaked earlier this year. From the leak, gamers predict that GTA 6's map may be as much as 1.5 times bigger than its previous.
Not only is the map expected to be larger, it's rumored that Rockstar will continuously update the game so that more missions and cities are available for players to explore, Eurogamer reports.
