Someone has brought the Will Smith slapping Chris Rock Oscars moment into Elden Ring… well, it was only a matter of time, really, wasn’t it?
By now, you’ve probably seen the infamous moment when Smith whacked Rock across the face for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
But while we’ve all seen numerous memes, takes and edits of the slap - we’re yet to see it in a video game setting, until now, of course.

Here it is, in all its glory:
Posting on Reddit, several Elden Ring players have shared footage of their characters being approached by a character named Will Smith, who promptly walks over and gives them a slap.
And it seems as though since the original character - who went by WILL SMITH in all caps - appeared there’s been a few others who have also decided to have a bit of fun with it.

The new twist on the incident has managed to raise a few laughs online, with one Reddit user posting: “The meme is transcending every dimension and I love it.”
Another wrote: “When internet trolls use their powers for good.. simply amazing.”
While someone else said: “The funniest thing I’ve seen all day.”

A fourth joked: “Keep my maiden's name OUT. YOUR. F*****G. MOUTH."
Smith storming the stage and slapping Rock became the most talked about moment of the Oscars and seriously overshadowed his own Best Actor win, which he was awarded for his role in King Richard just hours after the slap.
In his acceptance speech, Smith apologised to ‘the Academy’ and his ‘fellow nominees’ - but Rock had to wait until the following today before he got his apology.
In a statement on social media, Smith said his behaviour was ‘unacceptable and inexcusable’.

He said: "I would like to publicly apologise to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”
He also resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, saying: “My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable.
“The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home.

“I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.”
