90210 star Shenae Grimes-Beech has shut down cruel trolls who say she is ‘ageing terribly’.
The 33-year-old star, who is best known for playing Annie Wilson on the popular teen drama show, took to Instagram to hit back at people who felt the need to compare her to how she looked in a ‘nostalgic clip’ from her time as a ‘teen actor’.
Sharing a clip on the social media platform, she wrote: “‘She aged terribly’… is something I’ve heard about myself anytime I post a nostalgic clip from my past life as a TEEN actor.

“Thing is… I’m just… ageing. I’m nearly 34 years old with two kids, what the hell do you expect?!”
She then goes on to call for more ‘transparency’ among celebrities to admit when they’ve had procedures such as Botox or cosmetic surgery to help turn back the clock.
“One of the internet’s best kept secrets is skewing our perception of reality in a big way,” she continued.
“While I think we’re all aware of this by now, I personally know how easy it is to lose grip on reality and judge yourself harshly when you’re inundated with images of seemingly effortless ‘perfection’ every day.

“I’m 100 percent for a bit of Botox or filler or whatever it is you choose to do to feel confident in your skin. How you feel about yourself is so important and I am a cheerleader for doing whatever makes you feel your best! Lord knows, I’ve been debating a boob job big time since breastfeeding two children.
“That said, I think transparency when it comes to beauty standards is more important right now than ever before. I have so much respect and admiration for the badass, beautiful women I follow that open up about these topics, whether you choose to age naturally or with a little help from your friends.”

Grimes-Beech said it’s ‘tough out there’ when we live in a ‘world that tells you you look like s**t if you don’t chemically/surgically alter your face/body and shames you for being ‘fake’ while glorifying your appearance when you do'.
She then praised women who do help to bring ‘transparency to this topic’ and urged her followers to be a ‘little more upfront and a hell of a lot kinder’.
Grimes-Beech’s sentiments appeared to strike a chord with her followers, with one writing: “I couldn’t agree more, the plastic trend has created a very false idea of what ageing is. Thank you for always keeping it real.”
Another said: “Say it louder please!”

While a third commented: “100 percent agree with this transparency.”
