Gwen Stefani recently said a certain 'third party' has played a major part in making her marriage to Blake Shelton a happy one.
Stefani and Shelton began dating in 2015 after their respective divorces, and eventually married at a ceremony in 2021. The pair met on the reality TV show The Voice in 2014 when they both appeared as coaches in season seven of the show.
An insider told People at the time: "Blake and Gwen have begun dating. They've been supporting each other through a difficult time and they're really happy together.

"Everyone is thrilled because they're both incredibly nice people."
Well, safe to say that 10 years on, their relationship still seems pretty strong, and the 'Hollaback girl' singer has now dished out her guidance. For the couple, the key is apparently a 'third party' in the form of God.
During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, when asked what the 'best advice she's ever received on love' was, she answered: "Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party," before pointing to the heavens above.

Stefani has been open about her faith for years now, even promoting Catholic prayer app Hallow during the holiday season.
In the interview, she also spoke further about home life with her husband.
"I have the dogs right here; we have two couches … Blake’s on that couch and we’re like, 'Hi'," the singer explained.
"I would sit next to him but he’s gigantic and we don’t fit anywhere."

Stefani has three sons from a previous marriage, and Shelton has seemingly taken on a prominent role as stepfather.
He even stepped back as a coach for The Voice in 2022 to focus on parenting duties despite not having any biological children of his own.
He told People: "Even though I'm a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life.

"If I walked away from my career at this time, the only thing that I run the risk of is having regrets that I'm missing out on some more important things in life. For now, that's our kids. This isn't about me anymore and never will be again."
Elsewhere during the interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Stefani answered some quick-fire questions, where she surprisingly revealed her favorite love song is not by herself.
"Shania Twain, ‘Still the One’ … that’s a perfect song," Stefani explained.
The 55-year-old also said she's certainly a 'date night in' kind of person, adding: "I’m literally like — couch, blanket, cookies, chips."
