Adam Driver has revealed that he knew exactly what he wanted to spend his first-ever big paycheck on and it is most definitely not what you'd expect.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (7 March), the award-winning actor told fans there was no hesitation on what the first item he'd splash his cash on would be.
Driver, 39, also admitted that the much-adored item has been forever 'collecting dust' even at the time of buying it.

While he's now revered as one of Hollywood's finest, the House of Gucci star hasn't always been so loaded.
Before becoming a big-time actor on the silver screen, Driver, like many aspiring young performers was fairly strapped for cash.
However, that all changed when he received his first-ever big paycheck for appearing in an iconic crime drama series back in the 90s.

And, without any time spent deliberating on what to spend his few wad of bills on - Driver revealed he knew immediately what to buy.
The actor sat down with Fallon to discuss a little more about his journey into the industry and how he adjusted the seemingly overnight success. Specifically, how he handled the new big bucks coming his way after securing his first steady acting gig.
"Do you remember your first big paycheck? What you spent it on?" Fallon asked.

While, for many of us, a first paycheck would usually go on paying people back for whatever you owe them or some kind of celebratory event to mark the occasion - it's clear that Driver had a totally different plan.
"Well," he began, "my first big paycheck was for Law & Order."
Then, much to the audience's surprise, Driver confessed just what he bought all those years ago.

"Actually, what I bought was a pair of Jordans," Driver replied.
He explained to the laughing audience: "We didn't have any money for - I mean, we had money for shoes but it was never..." he trailed off.
"We couldn't afford to buy Jordans," Driver added.
He told Fallon that when he first 'actually got paid' to be an actor, he opted to cop the shoes as he wanted a pair of Jordans that he 'could never have'.

Fallon, clearly slightly perplexed by the confession asked: "Yeah but, I would think it [the money] would go to something else?"
Quickly defending his spending choice, Driver said: "No, because I rented all that other s**t."
"So," he added, "by the time it was over, all I had was money for, well, I had more money than that to save but Jordans were the first thing that I wanted."
Asking the questions we all clearly want the answer for, Fallon continued: "And, what kind of Jordans were they? Were they special?"
"No, I think I went and grabbed the first Jordans that I could find," Driver responded.
Disappointing all the sneaker-heads out there, he admitted: "I couldn't even tell you now what they are.
"I bought them and they're on a shelf and I don't look at them."
He did, however, note that they weren't the Jordan 1s, 4s or 5s - yet that doesn't really narrow it down considering the countless different models of the shoe.
Fallon asked: "Did you ever wear them?" to which the actor revealed that he doesn't wear them at all.
When questioned by the host if he was saving the trainers for a 'special occasion', Driver simply said: "Not even saving them, I just wanted them and I have them - they have dust on them."
Clearly getting more and more baffled, Fallon tried to rationalise the confession some more, wondering if the White Noise star was merely wanting to 'collect' the pricey trainers.
In typical Driver fashion, he replied: "No, I don't want to wear them because I don't want to mess them up but then I have to dust them off because they're dusty."
While it may be slightly odd - it's clear that the mysterious Jordan trainers definitely make Driver happy.
