Andy Samberg revealed he only has one friend on Facebook, but it’s a pretty impressive connection.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star explained to Jimmy Fallon that although he’s on the social media platform, his account is private and he was reluctant to sign up at all because ‘he’s already in touch with everyone he wants to be in touch with’.
Watch him reveal who his only friend is below:
Sitting down with Kimmel back in 2014, Samberg explained: “I’m on Facebook but I only have one friend. It’s a private account and I have one friend on Facebook.”

When Kimmel asked him to reveal who his one Facebook friend is, Samberg replied: “Mark Zuckerburg.”
Samberg explained in full: “We were at Facebook doing an event and we were in his office hanging out - cause you know, he did SNL so we’re sort of friendly - and it somehow came up.”
The star went on: “I was like, ‘oh I’m actually not on Facebook’. And he was like, ‘what?’ He was shocked, he was like, ‘why?’ and I said I’m in touch with everyone I want to be in touch with, I’m fine.
“And he was like, ‘you should have an account’. And I was like, ‘if you set up my account and you’re my only friend so I can tell this on a talk show’.”

Fast forward eight years and Samberg still isn’t particularly active on social media, with both his Twitter and Instagram accounts being deserted except for a post on each directing fans to the pages of the comedy trio he’s part of, The Lonely Island.
Samberg most recently used The Lonely Island’s Instagram page to plug Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, a live-action flick about Disney’s famous chipmunks.
The film dropped last month and speaking about why he wanted to be involved in the project, Samberg told Cinemabang: “The main reason I wanted to be involved is because my dear friend Akiva [Schaffer] was directing it and I’d pretty much be in anything he directs.”

Samberg added: “But I’m also a fan of Rescue Rangers and the script was really funny and I really liked that it had a mixed genre element to it. There were a lot of reasons, it just seemed like a no-brainer.”
