Footage of Elvis star Austin Butler paying tribute to the singer's daughter Lisa Marie Presley has gone viral following the shocking news of her death.
Lisa's mother Priscilla Presley announced the death of Elvis' only child in a statement on Thursday (12 January).
Butler spoke about both Lisa and her mother as he took to the stage at the Golden Globes on Tuesday (10 January) to pick up his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama.
Butler earned the Golden Globe for his appearance in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis last year, in which he played the King of Rock as viewers looked back over his life.

He was accompanied by Lisa Marie herself on the red carpet at the event just days before she passed away.
Now, footage of his speech is being shared widely online as fans remember and honor Elvis' daughter.
After accepting his award, Butler said he wanted to 'thank the Presley family' for their support in him making the movie, adding: "Thank you, guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

As he wrapped up his speech, he earned a laugh from the audience as he jokingly added to the Golden Globes producers: "You could at least play 'Suspicious Minds' or something. "
Internet users have described the speech Butler made just two days ago as 'extra powerful' in the wake of Lisa Marie's death.
One viewer wrote: "The fact that just two days ago Lisa Marie and her mom watched Austin Butler accept an award for portraying Elvis and now she has just passed away. It goes to show how fast and unexpected life is."
Shortly before Butler accepted his award, Lisa Marie praised the actor for his performance as her father while speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet, when she described Butler as 'such a sweetheart—an authentic, true sweetheart'.

"And just as good off-screen as he is on screen," she added.
When asked if Butler crushed his performance as the music icon, Lisa Maria responded: "Absolutely. Even the throat, he'd make these noises sometimes and he got all of it. He absolutely nailed it."
Priscilla Presley said it was with a 'heavy heart' that she must share the news of her daughter's death, and described Lisa Marie as 'the most passionate, strong and loving woman [she has] ever known'.
