Big Mouth star Jak Knight died by suicide, an autopsy by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has now confirmed.
The 28-year-old's death was announced last Saturday (16 July), with The Hollywood Reporter and a number of other outlets citing a statement released by Knight’s family through a representative.
The statement did not disclose the circumstances of his death.

According to a coroner’s report obtained by People yesterday (Monday 18 July), Knight was found on an embankment in Los Angeles.
His cause of death has now been ruled a suicide by the coroner.
Knight was most known for playing DeVon in Big Mouth, also serving as a writer and producer on the hit Netflix comedy.
Most recently, he co-created and starred in Peacock series Bust Down, and as a comic he toured the world - with his half-hour Netflix special airing in 2018 as part of The Comedy Lineup series.

He had also recently wrapped his first film credit on First Time Female Director, the feature directorial debut of Chelsea Peretti.
Since news of his death broke, tributes have been flooding in from the entertainment community.
In a joint statement, Peacock and Universal Television said: "We are devastated by the passing of Jak Knight. He was a brilliant comedian, visionary and artist and we were all lucky to experience his greatness.

"Our hearts are with Jak's family, friends and community during this heartbreaking time."
Comedian Ashley Ray wrote: "Whenever anyone would ask me who I thought was up next, who was the next Chappelle-level talent, I always said Jak Knight.
"There are just so few comedians who don't wanna hate other people, who just wanna understand other ppl and Jak Knight was one of them."

Actor Kumail Nanjiani said: "Rest In Peace Jak Knight. Hilarious comedian and a great guy. I can't believe it."
Comedy club Hollywood Improv remembered his earlier career, saying: "Several years ago a young Jak Knight began coming into our open mics & it was clear from the beginning he was special.
"Jak was a tremendous writer & performer, years ahead of his age. He had a lot more to say and we're heartbroken we won't get to hear it. We love you forever Jak."
